We are very excited to announce our upcoming production of '9 to 5'. If you want to be a part of this hilarious comedy with an Oscar, Grammy and Tony nominated score, applications are now open!

Please take a minute to read through all of the information below before filling in the application form at the bottom of the page.

PLEASE NOTE - this is an adult only show and we will not be auditioning applicants under the age of 17.

The Show

The smash-hit musical features a book by the iconic movie’s original screenwriter Patricia Resnick and an Oscar, Grammy and Tony award-nominated score by the Queen of Country herself, Dolly Parton.

9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL tells the story of Doralee, Violet and Judy - three workmates pushed to boiling point by their sexist and egotistical boss. Concocting a plan to kidnap and turn the tables on their despicable supervisor, will the ladies manage to reform their office - or will events unravel when the CEO pays an unexpected visit?

Inspired by the hit film and brought to you by Dolly herself, this hilarious new West End production is about teaming up, standing up and taking care of business!

Although there is a lot of dance/movement in this show, we will be considering cast members of all abilities.

We will ask when you audition if you have any holidays planned during the rehearsal period. This will not affect your casting, but helps us to put together a rehearsal schedule once we have made decisions. Please make sure you bring these dates with you.

We will expect everyone to be at as many of the rehearsals as possible and regular unexplained absences may result in your removal from the cast.

The Auditions

The auditions will take place across three days:

Sunday 5th January

Monday 6th January

Tuesday 7th January

10am - ensemble only

11am - Violet & Roz

1pm - Doralee & Judy

3pm - Frank & Joe

Overflow - if needed

Recalls - if needed

There will be a limited number of spaces for each session which will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Each session will be  grouped by character and auditionees will be seen in order of arrival. If you are auditioning for more than one part you will need to stay for both sessions.

Each session will begin with a movement and dance audition. Everyone will be required to take part in the simple movement section. This is just so we can see how you move and is more about style and performance. Please don't worry if you are not a dancer. You will then have the option to take part in the more advanced dance section if you wish.

Following the movement section the audition panel will see you for singing and acting. If you are auditioning for ensemble only, you will be seen as a group. If you are auditioning for a principal role, you will be called in one at a time and asked to sing and act the given pieces which can be downloaded below.

We would always encourage you if possible to learn the pieces off book so you can focus on character, etc. If you feel you do need to hold the music/script that is fine too.

Please click on the character name below to download a character breakdown and audition pieces:

There are a huge number of smaller parts in this show which will be cast from amongst the ensemble.  If you are auditioning for any role in this show and you indicate you would like to be considered for other roles or ensemble we will automatically consider you for one of these roles. For more information on these parts, please click the link below for a full list.
