The smash-hit musical features a book by the iconic movie’s original screenwriter Patricia Resnick and an Oscar, Grammy and Tony award-nominated score by the Queen of Country herself, Dolly Parton.
9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL tells the story of Doralee, Violet and Judy - three workmates pushed to boiling point by their sexist and egotistical boss. Concocting a plan to kidnap and turn the tables on their despicable supervisor, will the ladies manage to reform their office - or will events unravel when the CEO pays an unexpected visit?
Inspired by the hit film and brought to you by Dolly herself, this hilarious new West End production is about teaming up, standing up and taking care of business!
Franklin Hart, Jnr.
Excellent Stage Presence and Comic timing Needed
‘A sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical, bigot!’
The strict, overly-tight, dishonest boss and antagonist of the movie who fires people for no reason and also spreads the false rumour that Doralee is sleeping with him. The girls kidnap him and keep him strung up at his house while they make changes at the office under his name. At the end of the film, he is reassigned to Brazil.

We will ask when you audition if you have any holidays planned during the rehearsal period. This will not affect your casting, but helps us to put together a rehearsal schedule once we have made decisions. Please make sure you bring these dates with you.
We will expect everyone to be at as many of the rehearsals as possible and regular unexplained absences may result in your removal from the cast.
The auditions will take place on Thursday 30th January at the Marsham Court Hotel at 7pm.
During the audition you will be asked to do some acting with other members of our cast. We will also ask you to perform Frank's main song - 'Here For You'.
There may be a small amount of movement at the audition, but this is not a dance role so you will not be expected to have a high level of dance ability.
